      Fellow:
      A trained spine surgeon in active practice and a member of the recognised organisation of a country, territory or area which has a Chapter.

      Senior Fellow:
      A fellow who has retired from active practice.

      Associate Fellow:
      A trained spine surgeon in active practice and a member of the recognised organisation in a country without a Chapter or if in a country without a recognised organisation, has been approved by the Executive Committee.

      Affiliate Fellow:
      A trained, accredited, non-spine, medical specialist in active practice who in the opinion of the Executive Committee has a shown capability to advance the Objectives of the Society.

      Trainee Fellow:
      A medical practitioner undergoing structured training in spine surgery.
